Power, not chips, is the binding constraint on AI — and Bloom sells the fastest megawatts on the market.

What the market is missing
Everyone is modeling GPUs. Far fewer are modeling where the electricity comes from. Grid interconnect queues run years; the data centers need firm power now. The market still reads Bloom as a perennially unprofitable fuel-cell story rather than as the release valve for a shortage that is not clearing this decade.
Why I own it
I own Bloom as my highest-torque expression of the electrification build-out. Its solid-oxide servers put dispatchable, behind-the-meter power on site in months, not years — a genuinely different product from waiting in a utility queue, and one hyperscalers have already shown they will pay a premium for. The recent utility and data-center agreements are the proof that willingness to pay is here, not theoretical.
What has to happen
New hyperscaler and utility agreements have to keep landing, and gross margin has to march toward the low-30s with the high-margin service annuity compounding on the installed base. Free-cash breakeven has to come into view on volume. If the bookings cadence holds, the stock trades on it.
What would prove me wrong
This is a high-beta balance sheet, and I respect that. If cash burn forces dilutive equity before margins inflect, the equity story changes underneath me. A hostile move in natural-gas economics or distributed-generation policy would undercut the value proposition, and any repeat of warranty or service-cost problems would tell me the unit economics are not what the model assumes.
Valuation & exit
My $400 mark is a long-term target for a scenario where Bloom takes durable share of behind-the-meter data-center power. I size it for the volatility it deserves and trade around a core rather than pretend the path is smooth. In the near term the tape follows bookings; the exit is a margin story that either arrives or does not.
